There are
many purposes of why Hindus celebrate this festival, but the main and foremost
is to welcome the start of a new season with new opportunities and joy. Originally
the purpose was celebrating commemorating good harvests and the fertile from the past year. The way the Hindus celebrate this
event is completely different from other festivals, the special thing is that
people throw coloured powder in the air, and at each other. The coloured powder
is a symbol of enjoying
spring's abundant colors and saying farewell to winter. The festival has also a religious purpose, it is related to the Hindus
Gods Shiva and Krishna, but today the festival is celebrated independent of
religion. People have fun and celebrate the amazing event with enthusiasm, humour
and pleasure all over the world.

Wow, those certainly were colourful pictures. Looks like a great festival. I wonder why this was a news story this week. Looks like it is a festival they celebrate every Spring. Do you know?
